Our University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) chapter launched in January 2026, extending Muslims in Academia’s reach to a vibrant and growing campus community. From the outset, the chapter has aimed to create an inclusive space where Muslim students can find mentorship, collaboration, and academic support. By organizing workshops, discussions, and networking initiatives, the UTM chapter seeks to foster both personal and professional development while nurturing a strong sense of belonging. As the chapter continues to grow, it stands poised to become a cornerstone for Muslim academics at UTM and a bridge connecting students to the broader MIA network.
