Who we are

Research, community, and shared knowledge.

Muslims in Academia is a global, community-driven initiative founded in Toronto in 2024 and federally incorporated as a non-profit in Canada. We focus on Muslim communities and Muslim-majority contexts while welcoming people of all backgrounds who share our commitment to research, higher education, and equitable knowledge exchange.

We support students and scholars, build meaningful academic networks, and engage communities to expand pathways into research and higher education. Our work is rooted in the belief that knowledge is collaborative and its stewardship should be shared equitably.
