MIA – Muslims in Academia is a global initiative that began in Toronto in 2024. We are a community-driven movement dedicated to building a more diverse and inclusive academic world, one that better represents voices from across the Islamic world. We believe knowledge is a collaborative effort, therefore the effort should be proportional.

Our mission is to empower, educate, and connect. Through awareness, activism, mentorship, and networking, we aim to create a space where students and scholars can thrive together.
